These projects always take longer and are more expensive than you want them to be but Ryan (our primary contact) was always VERY up front and honest with us about everything. We had an outstanding experience working with Mikan on a kitchen/dining room remodel. Mike, Ryan and their team were creative, responsive, flexible and delivered high quality results. The communication among us, the Mikan team and our designer was great. We knew exactly what to expect and what to plan for. We also appreciate that Mike and Ryan don't just head the company, they are involved in every aspect of a project. We had frequent meetings and check ins at our house to discuss the scope of work, design choices and ongoing progress. Their subcontractors are highly skilled and great to work with. We love our new kitchen and dining room combination and have gotten many compliments from guests. Among the many things Mikan did was to open the wall between the dining room and living room to create a more open sight line; add a bar to the dining space area and windows; remove our old kitchen island and replace it with a nine-foot island to be used for seating and food prep (we eliminated our kitchen table), and update countertops, backsplash and lighting. We liked our maple wood cabinets, so Mikan came up with a way to add a contrasting island and bar area to freshen the look. We would highly recommend Mikan for any project.

When starting a project you definitely want to have confidence that your builder can deliver on time, on budget and to plan. If you go with Mikan you can have that confidence. If your project changes you can know that they will clearly and quickly communicate what impact that will have and your options.
